How to Clean Bathroom Sink

Bathroom sinks is one of the most important fixture in the bathroom because it offers us the chance to have the convenience to use water whenever we wish to. It is also the receptacle for cosmetics that we use for grooming. It means if you have more than one sink in your house, they are prone to bacteria that may thrive and grow especially if you are not cleaning bathroom sinks regularly.

 

The first thing to do is to think of several products that rinse down the bathroom sink. Included in the long array of list are blood, food particles, cleaning chemicals, drain cleaner, exfoliated skin, baby’s bathwater, medicated cream, lotion, makeup, hair dye, face cleanser, toothpaste, hair, shaving cream, soap residue and other chemicals.

To top it all, these are simply bacteria and harmful grime that may develop, which are dangerous to health.

Cleaning your bathroom sink do not only make the bathroom aesthetically pleasant, it also an effective way to protect the home from harmful bacteria. In order to clean your bathroom sink, all you need to have in hand is sponge, scrub pad, glass cleaner, disposable cup and scouring cleaning agent.

  1. Turn on the sink and rapidly wash the sink basin to entirely saturate the cleaning sponge.
  2. Pull the plug from drain hole and get rid of the entire debris within the plug. Squirt a small amount of cleaning agent into the scrubber and scour the plug, make sure to remove all residue and grime from the crannies and nooks. Wash the plug and return it.
  3. Spurt more cleaning agent into the scrubber sponge and wet with small amount of lukewarm water and rub the sink’s basin together with scrubber pad.
  4. Turn the sponge and use the other side for scrubbing the knobs, faucet and metal fixtures. Make sure to rinse the sponge entirely to squeeze out the additional and let it sit.
  5. Fill the disposable cup with lukewarm water and cleanse it with an agent from the sink up to the metal fixtures.
  6. Spray the whole basin and metal fixtures using glass cleaner and wipe it using paper towels to dry. Always make sure to dry the metal fixtures completely to avoid staining.

After cleaning the sink, don’t forget to clean the countertop too. Maintaining the cleanliness of bathroom sink is very important for the health of the entire family. In order to save time cleaning, it would be ideal to wipe the sink and countertop with clean and dry rug during morning and evening.
